“Branding is what people say about you when you are not in the room”
– Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com
The definition of branding has remained the same throughout the ages; since the 1800’s the idea to brand something you made and sell it has be an important part of business. The understanding of what makes a customers buy and the ways in which we reach them has evolved dramatically though.
Just think how much easier it would’ve been to sell “Cocaine toothache drops” if you could’ve used Facebook to create brand awareness….
Branding your business is now about how the customer “experiences” your brand.
- How does it make them feel?
- Did you brand add value to their lives?
- Do they want to use you again?
- Do they want to recommend you to their friends?
From a social media post that catches their eye, to the website they land on, to the signage and atmosphere of your offices, to the Christmas gifts you give out in December, all of these elements need to be strategically planned, aligned to one another and implemented in order to maximise your customers experience of your brand and keep them coming back.
It unfortunately doesn’t happen by accident. (We wish it did too)
Are you achieving this in your business?
Think hard and be honest…
If you answered yes, Congratulations!
If you answered no, well then the next best step would be to get some advice and guidance from the magical crystal ball you have….
And if that doesn’t work or you don’t have one, you can get in contact with Brand Expert Group of Companies
We are good at this, you’ll see.
